Your documents become legally binding once you sign, witness, and notarize them following our instructions. There’s no requirement to file them with the court or hire a local attorney. Our Trust-Based Package includes everything in the Will-Based Package plus added protections that make it the ideal choice if:

If you and your spouse/partner select that you share residue beneficiaries, everything automatically goes to the survivor of one another first. You don’t need to list each other again as primary or contingent beneficiaries in the questionnaire.

• Primary beneficiaries should be the people you want your assets to go to if neither of you is alive (for example, if you both pass in the same accident).
• Contingent beneficiaries should be different people who would inherit if your primary beneficiaries cannot.

If you prefer separate beneficiaries (rather than sharing residue), and you do not want everything to go the survivor of the other first, then list your spouse/partner as one of your primary beneficiaries along with anyone else you’d like to include. Your contingent beneficiaries should then be different people not already listed as primaries.
